What do Elders tell Circuit Overseer's about inactive members during their visit?

the 2 day assembly is this weekend for our congregation.

the elders pretty much leave me alone during the year but when the circuit overseer is in town, they start hounding me.

i try to make it one day but can't tolerate 2 days of the assembly.

The 2 day assembly is this weekend for our congregation. The Elders pretty much leave me alone during the year but when the Circuit Overseer is in town, they start hounding me. I try to make it one day but can't tolerate 2 days of the assembly. Usually they pay me a visit at my home. Depending on my mood,I let them in and tell them I know what I need to do to make more meetings or have my wife tell them I'm not home. They even call me the night before to see if I'll make the assembly..........( I have caller I.D. but sometimes my kids pick up phone by mistake)

there is an elder in my congregation who i feel dislikes me because i'm inactive and doesn't know what to do with me.

he seems to go on his business as soon as i walk in.

a couple of times as i was talking with a member of the congregation, he rudely interrupted my conversation and took the person by the shoulder and walked away as if his conversation was more important.. once i was talking to my mom( who is very sick and has many ailments but still makes it to some meetings)and this self-righteous elder walks right in our conversation and makes a rude comment about me in front of my mom.. this was the actual coversation we had to show you how self-righteous he is:.

Mom:''That's fine. We're always home"

Self righteous Elder walks in the middle of our conversation.

Elder:''How are you today?''

Me:''I'm doing good.''

Elder to my mom: ''How are you Mrs------?

Mom: ''Well not too good......you know I have many problems with my health."

Elder:"You may not be as physically healthy as your son but at least you have more spiritual health."

I am so sick of hearing the word "soon."

the use of the word "soon" at the kh is used so much by jw's.

that it has almost turned into a "soon" doctrine.. i counted the word soon 15 times at the meeting yesterday during the.

public talk and wt.

I went to Sunday's talk last week and this is what the Elder said in his talk:

''You young people....Why would you attend a 4 year college when the end is coming soon? The end could come in 4 years.....3years.....2years.....nobody knows....but it is right around the corner.Why waste your time with school since the end is so near? "

i thought i would enjoy a few hours cathing up on events on the board.. i purchased a kebab pizza and opend a cold beer.

unfortunately i put my cigarette butt out in the newly opend beer can-.

okay by my standards thats not dumb...but has anyone done a dumer thing whilst on this board?.

I decided one day to save money and change my own oil on my truck. I purchased 6 quarts of oil and oil filter. Went underneath truck and took off oil plug and oil filter. Put in new oil filter and put in 6 quarts of oil. Took dip stick and it showed no oil on dip stick. I looked underneath truck and found all the oil on the ground. I FORGOT TO PUT THE OIL PLUG BACK IN.

stage 1: going to the meetings, but disliking it.. stage 2: stopped going to the meetings, but remembered every day that i was supposed to be going to the meeting.. stage 3: "oh yeah!

I stopped the book study about 15 years. Couldn't re-read and repeat the REVELATION BOOK for the 400th time!

Stopped the Ministry School about 5 years ago. Couldn't take the sales and book selling meeting any longer!

Attend 2 Sunday meetings per month. Went to today's talk and Watchtower Study. Told my wife I don't know how much longer I can take it. The talks are cut and paste. The Watchtower Study is robotic, boring,a waste of time,mind numbing,uninspiring,and irrelevant as they come.

there might be underground preaching work but not enough to even cause a concern.. my question: how does the wts explain what will happen to all these people who will never hear their message?

They never really answer the question.They are like politicians. They never give you a straight answer.

My question: How does the WTS explain what will happen to all these people who will never hear their message? Will the WTS be accountable for all their deaths at Armageddon since they were given the commission to preach?

Where are the WTS "codes of conduct" for each member written?

i choose not to drink,smoke,gamble for my health and well being.

but i never understood why i couldn't grow a beard,attend another church to be just an observer for a wedding or funeral,or why i couldn't work or do work at another church.. is there a book or manuel where it states that members of jehovah's witnesses can't get drunk,smoke,gamble,join the military,work or enter another church,grow a beard,have long hair,have to wear a suit to the meetings,woman can't give talks, can't become a policeman,or is everything implied?.
